My passion for aromatherapy began in the 1990’s when I bought a few essential oils and a copy of Shirley Price’s first book on the subject. I soon witnessed for myself how powerful essential oils could be and wanted to find out more. After reading as much as I could on the subject I enrolled in the London School of Aromatherapy and qualified in 1994 having taken both the Diploma and Advanced Diploma with Patricia Davis (author of Aromatherapy: an A-Z).

Since qualifying I have run a successful aromatherapy business in Winchester, working with carers in the community, teenagers with mental health problems and women with breast cancer as well as clients with a variety of issues. Over the last twenty years I have also taken Diplomas in Baby Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Hot Stone massage and advanced massage techniques.

In 2000 I started teaching complementary therapies for local education colleges, gaining a PGCE in Teaching in 2008.

For the last 16 years I have loved combining the academic side of teaching with the hands-on practical side of being a therapist. I feel the two sides complement each other perfectly and help make me a better tutor and Aromatherapist.
